WAF England & Wales is at Holy Rood Youth

A Meditation on the Visitation

Fr Mark offered a 15โ€‘minute meditation centred on the Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth, drawing out its spiritual meaning for today’s disciples. He reflected on the call to welcome the Lord into our lives and to respond actively to His grace, mercy, and transforming presence. His words set the tone for a day marked by attentiveness to the movements of the Holy Spirit.

Formation in the Fatima Message

The significance of the Brown Scapular as a sacramental of protection and commitment and the Fatima Prayer Cell were explained by Jerry Rivera, Lead of the NPVS South Team.

Further formation on the Children of the Eucharist / Young Missionaries of Mary was offered by Barbara Dixon, Lead of the programme.

The Home Pilgrim Statue Visitation Programme was explained by Kianne Rodrigues, one of the leaders of the parish.

These initiatives invite families, prayer groups, and parishes to deepen their response to Our Lady’s call for prayer, reparation, consecration, and conversion.

A Weekend Marked by Deep Reverence

Throughout the weekend, a profound spirit of reverence filled the parish. Adoration of the Most Holy Eucharist — the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ—stood at the heart of the celebrations, drawing many into silent prayer and contemplation.

Long, prayerโ€‘filled queues formed for the veneration of the Relics and the Pilgrim Virgin Statue, guided with care and dedication by a team of parish volunteers led by Julia D’Souza, Diocesan Promoter for Clifton. Their service ensured that every moment unfolded with dignity, order, and devotion.

A Grace for the Parish

The visit of the NPVS and the Relics became a powerful moment of renewal for Holy Rood, strengthening Marian devotion and encouraging the faithful to embrace the message entrusted at Fàtima.

May the Immaculate Heart of Mary be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God.

Ave Maria!
