A global week of prayer, from the 1st to the 7th of October, launched by the Foundation Aid to the Church in Need”, will gather one million children praying the Rosary for peace and unity in the world.
This year, for the first time, the campaign will take place over a whole week to allow dioceses, parishes, schools, communities and families on different continents to choose the day most appropriate to their pastoral realities, remaining united in the same intention of prayer for peace and unity.

On October 1st, hundreds of children from schools and parishes in Rome (Italy) will join Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican Gardens, kicking off the week of prayer of the initiative "One million children pray the Rosary".
The 2026 campaign is inspired by the message of Fatima: "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph". The initiative takes on particular significance at a time when "millions of people are faced with war, violence, persecution, poverty and uncertainty".
On the 7th of October, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, the initiative will reach its high point and there will be the recitation of the Rosary in the Chapel of the Apparitions of Our Lady, in Fatima, Portugal, at 6h30 pm (Portugal time).
This international initiative is held in partnership with the Shrine of Fatima, the World Apostolate of Fatima and the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network.
