Subject: October – Month of the Holy Rosary: A Month of Prayer, Renewal and Mission

Dear Brothers and Sisters in the World Apostolate of Fatima (W.A.F.)

Ave Maria!

As we enter the month of October, traditionally dedicated to the Holy Rosary, we warmly invite all WAF Leaders and members throughout the world to unite in prayer and apostolic action.

October is a particularly meaningful month for the World Apostolate of Fatima. It gives us the opportunity to deepen our love for the Holy Rosary, make the Message of Fatima more known and lived, and renew our commitment to the mission entrusted to us through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Message of Fatima continues to remind us of the importance of prayer, conversion, penance, sacrifice and reparation, particularly through the daily praying of the Holy Rosary.

OCTOBER 7 – FEAST OF OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY

On the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, let us encourage our WAF communities, families and parishes to celebrate this beautiful Marian feast with special devotion.

We encourage:

• Holy Mass in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary;

• Community and family Rosaries;

• Rosary processions, where appropriate;

• Marian catechesis and formation;

• Promotion of the daily Rosary;

• Invitation of new families and parishioners to join the WAF mission.

May this feast become an opportunity to help more people discover the Rosary as a powerful prayer of the Church and an important part of the Fatima Message.

OCTOBER 13 – 109th ANNIVERSARY OF THE APPARITION OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA

On October 13, 2026, we commemorate the 109th anniversary of the final apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.

Let every WAF National Secretariat, Diocesan Division, Parish and Chapter make this day a significant apostolic occasion.

We encourage the organization of:

Holy Mass • Solemn Rosary • Fatima Procession • Fatima Formation • Eucharistic Adoration • Acts of Reparation • Renewal of WAF Commitment

Let us especially pray for the conversion of sinners, peace in the world, the sanctification of families, the Church, and the intentions entrusted to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

October 13 should also be an occasion to renew our commitment to make the Message of Fatima known, lived and spread in our respective countries.

OCTOBER 26–30 – PRAYER FOR THE INTERNATIONAL BOARD MEETING

From October 26 to 30, the International Board will gather for its meeting.

We earnestly ask all WAF Leaders and members throughout the world to unite spiritually with this important gathering.

Let us pray especially for:

• The guidance of the Holy Spirit;

• The protection and maternal guidance of Our Lady of Fatima;

• Wisdom and discernment for the International Board;

• Unity and charity among the WAF leadership;

• Fidelity to the Message and Spirituality of Fatima;

• The strengthening of the Apostolate in every nation;

• The renewal and formation of WAF leaders;

• The growth of the Apostolate among families and young people;

• The needs and intentions of every WAF country;

• Good and fruitful decisions for the future mission of the Apostolate.

We encourage every WAF community to offer a Rosary, Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration or other prayer specifically for the intentions of the International Board Meeting during October 26–30.

Let us remember that although we may be separated by geography, we remain united in one spiritual family under the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

RECOMMENDED WAF APOSTOLIC ACTIVITIES FOR OCTOBER

To make October a month of genuine apostolic renewal, we encourage every WAF unit to undertake activities appropriate to its local circumstances.

1. Family Rosary Campaign

Encourage every WAF member to establish or strengthen the daily Family Rosary.

2. WAF Rosary Crusade

Organize a public Rosary in parishes, communities, streets or other suitable places.

3. Children's Rosary

Introduce children to the Rosary and the Message of Fatima through age-appropriate prayer, formation and activities.

4. Youth Rosary Apostolate

Give young people opportunities to lead Rosaries, Marian reflections, music and evangelization activities.

5. Fatima Formation

Conduct formation sessions on the Message of Fatima, the First Saturday Devotion, prayer and penance, reparation and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

6. First Saturday Promotion

Use October to encourage families and parishioners to begin or renew the practice of the Five First Saturdays Devotion.

7. Rosary Mission to Families

Visit families, especially those who are no longer regularly participating in parish life and invite them to pray the Rosary.

8. Rosary for Vocations and the Church

Offer the Rosary for priests, religious vocations, families and the sanctification of the Church.

9. Eucharistic Adoration and Reparation

Organize an hour of Adoration with the Rosary and prayers of reparation for the conversion of sinners and peace in the world.

10. WAF Membership and Leadership Mission

Use October as an opportunity to identify, invite and accompany new members and potential future WAF leaders.

We encourage every National Secretariat and Diocesan Division to make October more than a calendar of activities.

Let it become a month of spiritual renewal and missionary action.

Who can we invite?

Who can we form?

Which family can we reach?

Where can we bring the Rosary?

How can we make the Message of Fatima more known and lived?

Our apostolate is not simply about organizing activities. It is about leading souls to Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and helping the faithful respond generously to the call of Our Lady of Fatima.

Let us therefore unite our hearts and prayers this October.

One World Praying.

Many Nations.

One Mission.

United under the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

May Our Lady of the Rosary accompany every WAF initiative.

May Our Lady of Fatima guide our leaders.

May the Holy Spirit enlighten the International Board during its October 26–30 meeting.

And may the Immaculate Heart of Mary lead the World Apostolate of Fatima ever closer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
