Fr Alexandre Fernandes, Assistant Priest, also assisted throughout the liturgical celebrations, helping to make the weekend a prayerful and grace-filled experience for all who attended.
The Knights of St Columba, led by their Grand Knight, were a constant and reassuring presence throughout the weekend. Their dedication and service ensured the dignified care and safeguarding of both the National Pilgrim Statue and the sacred relics, allowing the faithful to venerate them in an atmosphere of peace and devotion.
Throughout the mission weekend, devotion and formation went hand in hand. Opportunities for prayer, reflection, and learning enabled parishioners to deepen their understanding of the Message of Fátima and its enduring relevance today. The bookstall was a vibrant focal point, with many visitors acquiring devotional materials, sharing stories of personal blessings, and speaking of favours received through the loving intercession of Our Blessed Lady.
The parish has long embraced the First Saturdays Devotion of Reparation, faithfully responding to Our Lady's request at Fátima. It is hoped that many more will discover and participate in this Heaven-given pathway to peace. The Home Pilgrim Virgin Statue Visitation Programme also continues to bear spiritual fruit. Families warmly welcome Our Lady into their homes, gathering in prayer and renewing their consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
As the mission drew to a close, hearts were filled with gratitude for the many blessings received. Sincere thanks are extended to the clergy, parish leadership, volunteers, and parishioners whose generosity, faith, and tireless efforts made the weekend such a fruitful and uplifting occasion. It was a privilege and a joy to witness firsthand the love and devotion shown to Our Lady of Fátima and to work alongside a parish so deeply committed to living her message.
