National President February 2026 Note
Patrick Cunningham

Dear Members

This year, our mission feels particularly urgent with so many conflicts in the world, and the pressing need for peace.

On the 10th December 2025 we marked the Centenary of the First Five Saturday request at Pontevedra (10th  December 1925) in which the Child Jesus and Our Blessed Mother appeared to Sister Lucia to request the Devotion. It is also worth noting that in addition the  Child Jesus appeared on the 15th Feb 1926  to Sister Lucia at Pontevedra, where He asked her if she had spread the devotion as His Holy Mother had requested.

This question is also one that we as members of the World Apostolate may ask ourselves, being the current messengers of that request. In a world increasingly shadowed by conflict and confusion, our “Yes” to the First Saturday devotion is the most powerful tool for peace we possess.

We also celebrate The Feast of the "Little Shepherds" Saints Francisco and Jacinta Marto on the 20th February. These two children did not wait until they were adults to become saints; they embraced the "duty of their state of life" with heroic love.

As Lent begins on Ash Wednesday (February 18th), let us look to them as our guides by offering up the frustrations of our daily life for the conversion of sinners, bringing the rosary back to the family living room, and making the First Five Saturday devotion as an act of love to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saints Francisco and Jacinta, pray for us. Venerable Sister Lucia Servant of God pray for us.
