Reflecting on the final gathering, Fr. Shaun expressed his gratitude for being part of the parish’s Marian celebrations: 

"It was a privilege to be at the opening and blessing of the Fatima Chapel at St. Paul's a few months ago, and an equal privilege to lead the fifth Saturday devotions of the First Five Saturdays for Our Lady of Fatima. 

There was a lovely, prayerful atmosphere as we exposed the Blessed Sacrament for an hour's Adoration alongside the Sacrament of Reconciliation. As I knelt before the Lord, I experienced a deep sense of being cared for, and the worries I had been carrying were lifted. 

This Saturday was also the memorial of St. Teresa of Calcutta, who invites us to 'Be only all for Jesus through Mary'—a wonderful 'God-incidence' for the day's devotions. Mass was followed by the Rosary, both being prayed and celebrated very peacefully. I believe everyone present had an experience of being cared for by God and Our Lady." 

The Call to Reparation: Why the Five Saturdays Matter 

During the June Mass, Canon Stephen Watson spoke on the essential message of Our Lady of Fatima—faith, hope, and charity—and stressed the urgent need for both personal and communal reparation in today’s secular world. 

Our Lady requested the First Five Saturdays Devotion specifically to make reparation for the blasphemies and acts of ingratitude committed against her Immaculate Heart. In return, the Blessed Mother promised to "assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation," all who faithfully practice the devotion.
